Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
I thought the experience was exceptional, learning a lot and gaining experiences. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Everyone was very helpful when questions were asked. They were also comforting and helpful to students whose international experiences were none. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Location in relation to the campus was great. The apartments gave you an insight to what living was like there. |
* Food: |
Everything was an experience! |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Obviously you feel out of place and because we knew nothing, it could be difficult at times. But for the most part I integrated pretty well. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
If something was not safe, we all were given several warnings and precautions about things to do and not to do in certain areas. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
I absolutely loved it and thought the support and help from the program staff were good. |
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
I did not think I was prepared for how much money to bring. We had to eat out a lot more than I thought which was tough with money. |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | Would range between 100 or 200$ |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Budget your week out and make sure you include meals for the weekend excursions and souvinears. |

The Avid AdventurerThe wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal. |
