I would do it over and over again, I LOVE SCOTLAND, and I loved the long breaks which allowed me to travel.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • laid-back schedule
  • lots of UK travel through the uni for visiting students
  • always felt safe and welcomed
* What could be improved?
  • cost of living was higher than estimated
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? If you need to borrow money to travel, do it. It is the only time in your life where you can travel with only a backpack for a long weekend with new friends who are just as new to this as you are. Taking an additional $1000 is worth it in the long run for the experiences you will have.

Craving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.'
