I gained a much better understanding of the culture and history of Europe, as well as other countries' views of the U.S., which were very interesting. Definitely worthwhile to get to experience new countries that are so different from the U.S.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I loved living in suite/flat style housing and really liked my flatmates, but I did not enjoy being placed in the Village, which is the lowest grade housing at UEA. It is very far from campus and not very nice, and I think that for the amount we are paying to go abroad through Middlebury, we should be granted a better living situation. |

Yes
I really enjoyed studying at UEA because it was so different from Middlebury. The classes were interesting but I wasn't bogged down with work, so I had plenty of time to travel and join extracurriculars like the soccer team, where I made a lot of friends. Though the flats in the Village aren't very nice, I loved living in a suite type situation because I became very close with my flatmates, something that I haven't had a chance for at Middlebury. |

A Look Back

| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | I had to figure out what to do with my phone plan on my own, and I wish that someone had helped me out with that before my disastrous first week in a foreign country with no cell service. Also, I wish I had been more informed about the food stipend and how that worked, because I only learned about it once I arrived and asked a fellow student. |

You enjoyed the nightlife, and had fun going out dancing, and socializing with friends. | Comments: | I only rate this class at a 3 because I did not belong in it— I did not know ahead of time that it was an intro English class, and then could not switch once I found out, which I found problematic. This class ended up being a waste of time for me as a junior English major, and I would not recommend it for anyone except Freshmen. |

| Comments: | I loved this class— it was a third level course, so it was actually at my level of study, and it was challenging and intriguing throughout the semester. My teacher was brilliant and all the readings were really fascinating. We were assessed solely through our final paper. Would highly recommend to incoming study abroad students. |
