I learned a lot about myself as a person and world-traveller. I gained a lot of perspective about the world. It has been one of the top 4 worthwhile things I have ever done.

The classes were presenting very interesting topics (such as Ghanaian culture), but the organization, teaching style, and grading system was very difficult to understand. |

The CIE (Centre for International Education) was helpful in most circumstances, but were not always the best at communication. If contacted by phone, they were most helpful. |

My best friend got sick a lot while we were abroad. She was never really given a solid diagnosis because they did not have all the tools needed to diagnose her. Make sure to take your malaria medications while in Ghana, and get your typhoid vaccine! I had friends that came down with both! |

You can walk around at night, just don't be stupid about it. Take a group of people (preferably males), and stay away from dark, secluded places. |

| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Don't buy in bulk. They don't give discounts for it unless it's for fresh produce, which goes bad quickly, so you waste that money anyway. |

The Avid AdventurerThe wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal. |

| Comments: | This was my favorite class at the University of Cape Coast! It was relevant to my study abroad experience, as well as my major. I would go back and take a class from this professor again if I could! |
