Semester Abroad Past Review

By (Wellesley College) - abroad from 01/14/2018 to 06/22/2018 with

University of Cambridge, Pembroke College: Cambridge - Direct Enrollment & Exchange

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
The program was worthwhile. I learned a lot, but I had to do so independently. I am grateful for the experience as the educational system operates differently from Wellesley's. It was an awesome opportunity to also travel through Europe.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

We had to pay out-of-pocket for food; there was no set meal plan. I was paying a proportion of what I would if I continued at Wellesley, but I did not have any meal plan as I would at Wellesley.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Was difficult to integrate with full-time Cambridge students

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Budgeted $100-200 per week.
