What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
My experience was definitely worthwhile. I found it interesting to see how economics is studied differently at Cambridge than at Wellesley, and I learned a lot. Cambridge is an amazing place.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Both of my supervisors were very good. I learned a lot from reading and working independently and working with them. It was fairly intense, but I had more free time than I do at Wellesley.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The administration was very organized and helpful whenever I had questions.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Housing was very nice and convenient to the college.

* Food:

College food was pretty good, but I mostly cooked for myself.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

It's a little difficult to meet regular Cambridge students, but by joining activities I made some friends that way.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

The college nurse is very nice and helpful.

* Safety:

I felt very safe in Cambridge.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

England is very expensive!

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $150

* Did your program have a foreign language component? No

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I had really realized what taking one class at a time would be like. I ended up liking both of my classes, but it would have been very difficult if I hadn't, because that's all I was working on!
