The perfect balance between study and pleasure! Past Review

University College London (UCL): London - UCL Summer School

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learnt plenty of skills that will help me in my future career. From an academic point of view, I was faced with stimulating topics and completely new tasks, such as developing a research and showing its results through a poster and an essay. Therefore, I would especially recommend this experience to Italian students, whose approach to study is more theoretical. Finally, I gained a lot in terms of indipendence, cultural enrichment and social relationships. To sum up, it was definitely a worthwhile experience.

Spending three weeks at UCL has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Besides attending an interesting course, I met wonderful people from all over the world and delighted in exploring every side of London.

  • Cosmopolitan atmosphere
  • High-skilled teachers
  • Balance between academic and social programme
* What could be improved?
  • More equipment in the accomodation
  • Trips were not so worthwhile. The timetable was too rigid and time was not enough to visit and appreciate the places.
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? After my first experience as an International Student, I can say that a cosmopolitan environment makes your course of study much more entertaining and enriching. If I had known this before, I would have evaluated the possibility to enrol in a university abroad or at least to study in English.
