What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I was able to learn more about people and see the way poeple act. From living here i was able to learn more about the world and why some places are different than others. There are just to many observations to be made to write them all down. You can only know if you go there.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I didn't learn as much from the classes as i would have at my own college. However by being active and getting involved in many activities and events i was able to leanr many things that i could never learn at home. I learned the most by being able to live under a new culture in a different lifestyle.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They are well prepared to help the students and i always new what i needed to do and i could ask them anything. However the staff sometimes were not readily available.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

dorm inside of campus, not very nice

I lived in the campus dorms which were much different than the conditions in my own country. It took some getting used to but overall i enjoyed it.

* Food:

The diet is mainly noodles and rice which takes some getting used to but i loved the food.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I traveled to so many different places and it was cheap and affordable and i learned so much.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

The city is not very dangerous other than a few snatch thiefs which i did not need to feel very concerned as a big white male. Health issues were dealt with by the college and was very convenient.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Food: 40 usd a week public transportation depends on how often u have to go places
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Don't forget you will have to pay for your visa after you arrive.
