The program,directed by Prof. Bob Proctor from Connecticut College, is a six-week/8 credits full immersion experience conducted entirely in Italian and open to students of all language proficiency levels.The program is held in Perugia, an ideal setting for learning Italian because of its authentic Italian lifestyle, size and academic tradition.
Participants will learn and practice Italian, both in the classroom and through a wide range of community based and co-curricular activities organized in Perugia, including Tandem language exchanges, cinema nights,day trips, museum visits, and guided tours in Italian. Thanks to the academic partnership between The Umbra Institute and the Università di Perugia, Italian university students will cooperate in class and participate in scheduled events.
Program begins in May.
