There are more than 200 museums and galleries in the city, including the British Museum, the National Gallery, the Tate Britain and Tate Modern, the Royal Academy of Arts, as well as a number of smaller galleries that highlight the capital’s recent prominence in terms of contemporary and international visual cultures.
