Tufts Programs Abroad: Tufts in Oxford

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I don't think I could have asked for more in terms of faculty, students, and resources.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Jaki Leverson, the head of the Tufts programmes in Britain, is doing a really good job and is a great person to turn to with anything you might need.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The quality of housing at Pembroke is variable, but overall everything works just fine and is comfortable, if sometimes not beautiful.

* Food:

Fine within the bounds of British food.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

See section on "interaction with locals" above. Otherwise, being in Oxford also means that you get to meet some of the smartest and most interesting people around, which is always interesting. Doing sports was a great experience, as was all the rest.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)
