What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
After studying music in the African Diaspora for a term, it was so beneficial to see the cultural/musical elements that we studied in person. Each excursion provided a varied,worthwhile learning experience of drumming, dance, and history.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I learned a lot more about the culture and values held in Ghana. While we had studied music in the Ewe culture prior to the trip, I gained a new understanding from seeing/participating in the drumming and dancing in Dagbe.
