What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was unreal. I got to travel all around this beautiful country. It made me itch to travel more. It definitely awakened my interest in traveling and back-packing around the world.

They were SO accommodating and helpful. They were really amazing.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I was right on the beach, it was amazing.

* Food:

It was hard to cook but it was very expensive to go out.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Traveling up the Gold Coast, staying in hostels meeting people from all over the world was the highlight of my trip.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I lived in a very safe neighborhood and in general Australia felt very safe to me.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I lost track... but a lot of money. Maybe around 300 a week but I ate out a lot.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Save up, it is a VERY expensive place to live.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? If you are laid back and you are not looking to be "shocked" or "challenged" but looking for a fun and beautiful place, with exceptionally nice people.
