The GREEN Program: Iceland - Sustainability and Renewable Energy Abroad

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned so much in such a short amount of time. I now have plans to go back to Iceland to pursue my Master's Degree, which is something I would never have done if not for this experience. Iceland is an amazing country with amazing people and I can't wait to go back! I've also gained a new sense of adventure that will hopefully lead to more awesome experiences in the future.

I am ready to become a real Icelander!

* Safety:

The only safety issues are ones you face when hiking, and those are handled amazingly by the awesome professional guides.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

All meals and even snacks are paid for, so you only have to spend money on extra food/souvenirs. I spent about $300, but $200 of that was on a tattoo.
