The Experiment: Ghana Internship - Contemporary Art & Culture

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot more about the contemporary art scene in Ghana and I got to immerse myself within the culture. I learned about the history of slavery and colonialism within Ghana and how that has current, long-standing effects on Ghanaian culture. I definitely gained a greater sense of nuance and understanding around Ghana and its culture and history, and I would definitely say it was very worthwhile.

The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
