About

With its timeless charm, living history, fashion, food, and culture, Paris is the real deal. When you’re talking about bucket-list places-to-visit, the City of Light is a destination packed with an endless list of wonderful things to see: the world’s top museums (the Louvre is just one!), monuments (want to zip to the top of the Eiffel Tower?), and cathedrals (like the Hunchback’s Notre Dame). When you study abroad in Paris, France every day is magnifique.

An eternal and mythical city, Paris is the capital of France and is located in the north-central part of the country along the river Seine. Paris is surrounded by quaint villages and lovely countryside. The program may travel by train outside the city to visit several of them, including Chartres--the quaint city with its magnificent gothic cathedral--and Versailles and the luxurious palace with its breathtaking gardens.

The program may travel by train to the historic D-Day beaches of Normandy where students will visit the sites where, seventy-five years ago, the Greatest Generation turned the tide of World War 2.

In Paris, students who study abroad will easily get around on the city’s easy-to-use Metro system with its decorative Art Nouveau entrances and quickly become familiar with many parts of the city. Although Paris boasts the vibrancy and advantages of a bustling big city, it somehow manages—through its quaint streets and friendly sidewalk cafes--to feel like many cozy little neighborhoods. Come and discover your favorite.

Thanks to its beautiful weather, with long and sunny days, July in Paris is the month of festivals and outdoor concerts.  It is also the month of Bastille Day (the National Day of France) with its parades, fireworks, and summer activities. When you study abroad in Paris, you can enjoy its lovely culture and discover for yourself why the city is such a big deal and one of the most popular travel destinations in the world.
