SUU: Spanish in Peru

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot about the history and culture of Peru and other Latin American countries which I really enjoyed. As far as my Spanish abilities, I didn't progress too much but I still thought it was worthwhile being in the country and being able to practice my Spanish skills.
