About

You will study at the Pontifíca Universidade Católica, one of the most prestigious and respected universities in Rio. It is a private non-profit Catholic University which was created in 1941 by the Jesuit Company in order to develop knowledge based on humanistic values. Now with, approximately 10,000 undergraduate students, 2,500 graduate students and 5,000 extension students, PUC-RIO is internationally recognized as one of the top five universities in Brazil and one of the two best in Rio de Janeiro. The summer program is dedicated to Portuguese for foreign language studies only. The Department of Letters offers language courses at five levels, from Beginner to Advanced.

The Department of Letters at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro offers PORTUGUESE AS A SECOND LANGUAGE in regular and intensive courses.
