About

The University is located on a beautiful riverside campus at the heart of the National Technology Park at Plassey, three miles outside Limerick City. UL is home to the Irish Academy of World Music and Dance. Almost, 8,500 full-time and more than 2,000 part-time students are enrolled at the University during the academic year. The Shannon adds an extra dimension to the green and tree-lined campus and there are lovely riverside walks. Most of the student accommodation is within view of the river and the student rowing and kayak clubs make regular use of the river. Two bridges cross the river on the campus, offering a walking circuit of the grounds. The University has excellent classroom, computer, and library facilities. Additonally, there are banks, cafes and restaurants, banks, a bookshop, small grocery, travel agent, laundrette, pharmacy, and computer store locted on campus.
