Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

We were able to learn about humanities in the best way possible- through hands on experience. If we were reading Socrates, we were learning about it in the theatre it was performed in. We had class some mornings and other times it was on the go. It was the perfect balance of sight seeing and education.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

As we walked through every site we went to, our professors would tell us important information so we were always well informed when we traveled places.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

We stayed in beautiful hotels or apartments. Every place had wifi and air conditioning and we were always near a pool or ocean.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I felt like we went places that most tourists wouldn't go. I felt like one of the locals.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Pharmacies all around. We had an incident with people getting sea urchins stuck in their foot and our professors took those who got them stuck to a doctor that day and they were treated.

* Safety:

We were given proper warning if we were going into different places that were unsafe. Make sure to protect your bags if your going on public transportation! Savellos also gives you a map of places not to go in Athens which is helpful.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I expected to be taking classes all morning and then having a little time after to hopefully explore the countries we were traveling too. I was so wrong in the best way possible. Our professors wanted us to have the full experience and they were able to take us places and teach us at the same time. I felt like I saw everything I wanted too

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I spent a lot on food because I was always going out to eat, but professors did pay for some of our meals and breakfast was normally covered
