SUNY Geneseo: Traveling - Mediterranean Roots Summer Program

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot from this experience, especially about myself and the way I respond to different circumstances. I realized I am a pretty easy going person and can adapt to things easily. I also learned to to learn more you have to step out of your comfort zone and always enjoy the things around you.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

This was honestly the best way to learn humanities. We got to learn about the things we were seeing each and every day and relate them to the course work we had in front of us during class.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Every country we went to welcomed us with open arms. The accommodations were incredible and we had nearly zero problems all around.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Every hotel we stayed in was incredibly well kept and in great areas. The rooms were always spacious and we were always near great sites or beaches with spectacular views.

* Food:

Each country had different delicacies to try and this was one of my favorite parts. It made me immerse in the culture and try new things.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I had the best time I could've ever had on this trip. From the sites, to the beaches, to the people, to the food, everything was perfect.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

This trip was pretty costly, but I do have to say everything was worth it, and I don't regret spending any of it.
