What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned all the cheesy stuff. Traveling makes you a global citizen. It helps you step outside of yourself. And this program through Geneseo helps you meet people (great people) that you would've probably never met without the program. The places I went were absolutely amazing and great. But they wouldn't have been as fun if I hadn't been with the people that I was with. Best 1 month of my life.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • The camaraderie that all 22 students (for the most part) had.
  • The beauty of the campus architecture was breathtaking. It was a true honor to roam around that campus on a daily basis.
  • Professor Stelzig and Professor Drake took really good care of us.
* What could be improved?
  • The food. The food was terrible. As a vegetarian, there were days where I only ate lettuce and potatoes for dinner.
  • There should be more guest speakers from England.
  • Make the trip longer!
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Book your long weekend excursion as early as possible. This can be troublesome if you don't know any one in the program but if you don't want to spend 150 pounds + 100 for hostels and such last minute, you should find out where you are going ASAP.
