About

This 4-week program is located in the port city of Dakar in Senegal, one of the more successful post-colonial democtratic countries in Africa.  Dakar blends modern amenities with the rich cultures and traditions of diverse ethnic groups.  Senegal, Africa's westernmost country, has played a significant role in the politics, arts, and culture of West Africa.  While taking the 4-credit French course 'FREN 388: Civilizations of West Francophone Africa', students will conduct research on carefully chosen topics.
