Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I learned a lot of Spanish in my time there and experiences with the people. It was a wonderful time in which I was able to teach a lot and learn a lot.

It was solid all around.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Lived with a family in their guest houses behind the house. Very nice place. <br /><br /> Great place to stay.

* Food:

Food was very enjoyable. Had some parasites though.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Good experience to learn.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I got sick a couple times. Only worried a bit.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Maybe $30-50 a week for food and fun.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? The food is cheap. Buy menus for lunch.

Language acquisition improvement?

It was solid practice. Complete immersion. As it should be.
