Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

This was a WG in downtown Tubingen. It was very nice. All furniture was provided, they helped me find sheets, and showed me where to find all the important things in the kitchen. I didn't need to buy much myself. The location was amazing. Very centrally located between classes, public transportation (at my doorstep), downtown shopping, and so on. I loved the location!

* Food:

There was a grocery store right next to my building, I bought my food there. It was easy to find what I needed and the stipend helped pay for this.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Lots of Fests and they are AMAZING!!!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? If you want to leave Tubingen regularly, you should have a good amount of extra money. Staying in Tubingen isn't difficult on the stipend, trying to travel around takes some money.

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? Advanced
What was the highest level language course you had completed prior to departure? A 300 level course
Language acquisition improvement?

My roommates helped. They often spoke English with me, but they were German, and would speak with me as well. This helped improve my speaking German immensely. I loved having German roommates.

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
