What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained many new friends, cultural and historical knowledge about Argentina and Lat. America, as well as amazing experiences and trips that I could not do in any other place in the world. Surpassed being worthwhile.

The directors really made the program stand out. After talking with other students who were in different programs, I realized that those of us in SOL were very lucky.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Try and eat at the small local bakeries they are very cheap and you can get great lunch options there.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • The Directors Raul and Beatriz
  • The time to travel all corners of the country
  • The freedom to be independent while still having the knowledge that the directors were available to us for any of our needs 24/7.
* What could be improved?
  • Maybe better exchange opportunities with locals in our age group so that it would be easier to make local friends
  • More centralized host families so that you are not so far from the school, fun parts of the city or other students in the program.
  • Better matching of roommates
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish that I knew more about the city and hidden gems and locations that you cant find on tourism sites so that I could have spent more time in those places than the average tourist spots. Also the good places to shop.
