Personally and for many other students, I believe the best way to keep yourself educated and fluent in a language is to make sure to surround yourself with people who will speak it with you and to you.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I did a lot of research before coming abroad. Italy had been a destination of mine for years so I feel like I was very well informed.
