Overall Experience
I traveled, met new people, really enjoyed the culture, loved my classes - Yale University View Entire Review
Past Review Stimulating
I gained a confidence and independence that was not essential at my home institution. I also learned how to interact with people in high stress situations like travel. The resources of the city were unimaginable and extremely worth it for my studies and life experience. - Yale University View Entire Review
My time abroad was my first international experience, and it was such a joy from start to finish. I believe my continued passion for drawing and printmaking is in-part thanks to the courses I took in Florence. Experiencing life in a new part of the world, not just as a tourist but through really living there, was so eye-opening ... - University of Michigan - Ann Arbor View Entire Review
Studying in Florence was absolutely worthwhile. I gained a broader perspective of cultures, learned to navigate a city on my own, and the classes were superb. I felt so integrated in the experience and brought my inspiration home with me to help me stay engaged in my studies in the US. - Ringling College of Art and Design View Entire Review
To be more outgoing and to cook. Definitely worth while. - Trinity University View Entire Review
I think I would of always regret it if I didn't study aboard, but overall it was not a good experience with SACI. - Bowling Green State University View Entire Review
I gained a more exploratory mind. I am more culturally aware and open to learning about other areas and topics in the world. I am now planning on going to graduate school abroad as well. I just got accepted into a large university in Holland, to pursue a masters degree in art history. - Bowling Green State University View Entire Review
I learned a lot about the culture and practices of metalsmiths in Italy. This aspect was very worthwhile. I unfortunately learned a lot of other things about how to conduct myself in unsafe/concerning situations because of what many different men would do/say (many lewd comments, being followed, one man exposing himself), regard... - Virginia Commonwealth University / VCU View Entire Review
Past Review Take Me Back!
Bring your walking shoes if you take the Art History course, we basically went everywhere and saw everything there was to see during class and weekend field trips! This class was like a private guided tour with a teacher that knew everything about Art History of the era. - University of Michigan - Ann Arbor View Entire Review

I had never been out of the country before. This was the longest I had ever been away from my parents. I didn't know a single person who I would be going with before I arrived at the airport. Yet, I wasn't scared. I felt so prepared because of SACI and my home school, I was SO excited. It lived up to every expectation and it was... - Susquehanna University View Entire Review

I gained a lot more knowledge in certain art fields and I also learned more about myself. My perspective of the world and life has also been broadened from my experience abroad. - Marywood University View Entire Review
I learned a lot about how I want to live my life. The Italians live to be happy, while I feel that Americans frequently get caught up in being productive and efficient. - Trinity University View Entire Review
It led me to study abroad two more times. Once in London, England and once in Paris, France (week long programs, that I also wish were longer!) I cannot get enough of travel and I love to experience the diversity of the people, food, cultures, art etc. in the world! It just opens your eyes to how beautiful this place is! - Marywood University View Entire Review
