It was very rigorous and there were a lot of academic resources. The focus was definitely on independent learning, but that allowed for more customization to your own interests. |

The staff worked to make sure that all the students knew each other and created a great visiting student community. The student helpers were absolutely stellar and really made the transition easy. Keep track of your courses and grades, though, since they don't put together your transcript until the end of the year, and you don't want anything to get lost. |

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Single bedroom with private bathroom, weekly cleaning. Awesome! |

The food was really well made and affordable. Cooking for yourself was easily possible if you wanted to. There weren't a ton of options at each meal, but there was always vegan/vegetarian and meat. |

* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I was able to meet a lot of British students and explore a lot of British culture and customs. They don't force you to integrate with the local culture, but it's really beneficial if you do. |

How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
No vaccines required for the program; didn't have any major health issues. |

Oxford really feels like a student city, especially during term. Very safe to walk around at night, etc. as long as you take normal precautions. |
| If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
The community was really welcoming and the academics were enriching! There was a lot of opportunity to travel during the breaks and experience new things. |

Definitely requires spending on food & experiences. Clubs/organizations at the university cost money, as do many university events. |

| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | To keep track of all of my graded problem sheets and coursework, so that it would be available for the administrative staff to make my transcript. They had difficulty keeping track of courses I took. |
