St Anne's College, University of Oxford - Visiting Students Program

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I had a very well-rounded experience from St. Anne's in regards to my education, social life, and cultural awareness. I feel that I am now more prepared to handle challenging courses at Wellesley thanks to the preparation Oxford has given me in becoming a more independent, proactive learner. In terms of my social life, I was able to get to know many of the visiting students as St. Anne's hosts a significant number of them each year. It was also possible for me to get to know several matriculated Oxford students, as the college was pretty good about integrating visiting students into the student body. Finally, I really appreciated being in the city of Oxford and getting to explore the surrounding areas.

I thoroughly enjoyed my study abroad experience at St. Anne's because of the rigorous academic environment, the warm and friendly nature of the college, and the students I was able to get to know. While I might have chosen to take different courses during Michaelmas term, I still appreciate the academic rigor and independent learning style of the program. The September British history course was definitely a highlight for me.
