The program has connections to a doctor's clinic inside of the building in which we attended classes which made making appointments easy and accessible. |

We were informed on the importance of being vigilant as soon as we got to South Africa. I personally never felt extremely unsafe during the program; however, I remained vigilant with my belongings and did not venture into the inner city alone. |

Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
We had a $20 stipend/week for meals that were not a part of our homestay. When we moved into the ISP portion of our semester, we were given 100$ as a stipend to cover our food and rent which was doable but we did end up spending our own money as well. |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Plan excursions you want to go on ahead of time and budget them in, it will make your travels easier! |
