What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned to live on my own. I learn how to speak the language daily without the fear of messing up. It was one of the best experiences in my life.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Try to attend classes at the University of Florence, try to get away from the center of the city and try to speak the language as much as possible. Don't get involve in the same touristic place, grab a train and go explore other places.
