Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Classes were good and helped set up for production, which was where the real value of the program came from and which was an incredible experience.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Everyone was very communicative and helpful if there were any questions or concerns.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The housing arrangements were great; centrally located, they provided sheets and towels, and there were full kitchens.

* Food:

Due to the limited options on Nantucket in the winter, food options were somewhat restricted, but there was always plenty of healthy food.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

There wasn't a very active local culture due to how empty Nantucket becomes in the winter, but we participated in local events to the best of our abilities and fit right in.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

The program was super helpful whenever health needs arose, however Nantucket in the winter is very shut down and the island itself had very limited health care options.

* Safety:

Nantucket was very empty and very safe.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I had no problem taking advantage of the structure of the meal plan and not having to spend my own money, though others had a harder time.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $5 on average

Reasons For Studying Abroad

To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you.
The Networker
An active student leader, it was important for you to network abroad as well. Once overseas, you sought out student clubs, volunteered with local organizations, or attended community events. You encouraged your friends join you, and often considered how you could reflect your international experiences in a resume.
