Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? None

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The classes are interesting and the professors are awesome! They only thing is that the class schedule is very inconvenient and made it hard to travel outside of Sorrento for weekend trips. It is also hard to pay attention for 3 hour class periods.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The administration is very attentive to all of our needs and make the dorms feel like home.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The dorms are way nicer than I expected and the views from the entire university are stunning.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Sorrento is a beautiful place with a lot to do.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Sorrento is a bit overpriced because it is so touristy. But if you find the right place, there is delicious food for a minimal expense.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 200
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Cook, cook, and cook. Most of my money was spent on going out to dinner.

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? No

Direct Enrollment/Exchange

* Did you study abroad through an exchange program or did you directly enroll in the foreign university? Exchange

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I did the internship, and although I would do it again, 135 hours is a lot of hours to complete in 5 weeks. With that and classes, it was almost a full-time job while trying to make the most of my time here.
