Yes, it was worthwile. It was a great experience to visit a country in a kinda low key way with the ability to just explore on our own.

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? You just have to realize that you are going to buy many of your meals and you are also going to want to go shopping. Honestly, I went with $1,000, but I didn't spend it all.
