What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I have a better understanding of how different cultures live their lives, and I know a lot more about myself after living on my own in a foreign country.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? None

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I found the rigor and intensity with my classes to be a lot less than what I experience at Bentley. Minimal amount of work, and not a lot of difficult classroom tasks that were challenging.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The visiting student team at RHUL was very supportive of us all, and we received e-mails regularly about programs we could attend that would help us get involved, and transition smoothly.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

My living situation was great. I had my own room with a double bed and bathroom, and shared a nice sized kitchen with 7 others.

* Food:

Since I had a kitchen, I rarely ate at the eateries on campus.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

It was easy to meet new people and get involved in the local culture.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I didn't have any issues

* Safety:

Nice small town just outside London with a very safe feel to it.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

The exchange rate in England is not very good, but it wasn't too difficult to stay on a good budget.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $150
