What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned to be independent, budget effectively, travel, and what a large university was like. I enjoyed my experience and feel that I grew a lot and learned about myself.

Program expected students to be very independent.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Student accommodation was okay. You get your own room which is nice, but appliances did not work well.

* Food:

You cook your own food, but food in London was expensive.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I joined a sports team which made a big difference and gave me lots of local friends.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Did not have any experience, but seemed adequate.

* Safety:

East End is one of the more dangerous parts of London, but I never personally had any issues.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Careful budgeting is necessary for London. Transportation is expensive as is food and going out.
