What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I became more confident in Spanish, I also became more confident in myself. Having to navigate a completely new culture I was in uncomfortable situations that I was able to navigate and I therefore became more confident.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • PRESHCO staff , they were extremely helpful and supportive
  • Being able to connect with other people in the program
  • Full immersion
* What could be improved?
  • Host Parents were very conservative and would make inappropriate race and body weight comments
  • Women's safety in a new town
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? The education system in Sain is very different, they do not have a decolonial approach the same way that we learn at Wellesley, a lot of the teaching is much more conservative than the liberal arts college that I go to.
