A really problematic program Past Review

Oxford Study Abroad Programme (OSAP): Oxford - Study Abroad at Oxford University

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I wish I could have gotten feedback from previous students and realized that everything is artificially and poorly organized, in efforts to promote the visage of Oxford education, by really rude and shady staff.

Personal Information

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Honestly unacceptable behavior from the staff. They're bringing you to Oxford as a tourist, not a student. They artificially arrange library access, dining hall access, and tutorials to give the impression you're a student

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Spiders and mold everywhere. It was a 50 minute walk to college and had to take the bus as bikes were over 150 pounds. There is plenty of housing in the city they could have put us in but my program friends there had it worse with pests and broken appliances in the houses.

* Food:

it's expensive to eat in the dining hall

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

The doctors at 28 Beaumont Street were impossible to speak to and seeing the doctor was such an unpleasant thing to organize when I was in pain

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Just avoid tbh

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

* Did your program have a foreign language component? No
