What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I accept people the way they are more than ever, and I couldn't have had a better experience. I learned so much about the culture, met some of the greatest people, and I plan to travel again in the future.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

All of my expectations were met, and we had as much support as we needed in terms of transportation, activities to participate in, and places to visit.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Everything we needed was provided by the hotel and hostel. Breakfast was given everyday at the hotel, and we lived with students from our home University.

* Food:

Try new foods while you can!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

We went to several different attractions and places to participate in activities, such as a salt mine, concentration camps, fishing, zip-lining, rope walking courses, dancing, karaoke, boat rides, kayaking, and many tours.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

No vaccines were needed for this trip. The health care system was not needed when we were there, and the town felt extremely safe. We were very comfortable walking through the town at any time.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Everything was very cheap compared to the U.S.A. For the hotel, we payed $300 for two weeks. I spent a lot less money than I had anticipated on.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? There were no unanticipated expenses that I had wished I was informed of. We were informed of everything we had to pay for before we departed.

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Participate as much as possible, and try things you've never tried before. A students who would benefit most from this would most likely be a student who is studying in the Kinesiology department.
