My study abroad experience was definitely worth while. I gained a greater appreciation for my culture and for other cultures. After this trip, I plan to study abroad more and study Spanish further. It fascinates me to speak to another person in a another language. William C - Trinity University View Entire Review

Living arrangements are an important factor in the cultural immersion process. For many students, a private bedroom in a carefully chosen Mexican home is the ideal accommodation option. Living with a local family provides students the opportunity to practice Spanish while learning about Mexican family life. The cost includes breakfast daily. Students may choose to take comida, the main midday meal, and/or cena, the light evening meal, with the family at additional cost.
The Institute can provide an extensive list of hotels and posadas for students, as well as make reservations. As an important city in Mexico, Oaxaca has many hotels ranging in class level from one to five stars.
Living in a posada offers the independence of an apartment without the demand of a time commitment.
