What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I was very exposed to much of Europe and learned how easy it is to assume that everyone lives the way you do when, in fact, they do not. It was totally worthwhile and probably the best experience of my life.

My courses were fantastic. I took EL0420, EL0607, and PS0510.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Fantastic. Private bathroom and bedroom. Spacious common area. Very close to campus.

* Food:

The English food isn't the best but that isn't a reflection on this program.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Newcastle is a great and very lively city with easy access to the rest of Europe.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I have had no experience with the health care in the UK but understand that it is amazing.

* Safety:

I always felt completely safe in Newcastle and definitely on campus.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Newcastle is very cheap.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Plan a budget with travel well in advance. I extensively traveled Europe, paid for my tuition, housing, and food for about $13,000 for the fall semester.
