NEOMA Business School: Rouen - Direct Enrollment & Exchange

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I'm not sure if it's worthwhile. It is true that I got to see the world more and made a lot of friends from different parts of the world. However, the program in the host school didn't start until November. For the first two months I got only one project to do and it's not very fulfilling for me. After the program started, I found out that it just started, which means I had to do the basics again as I already finished the basic courses in my first year of the master's program.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I am supposed to be in the second year of my master's program but the exchange program sent me to their first year. The courses were a repeat of what I've learned at my home school and were too basic for me. This is my biggest complaint.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The strength of the program is that the school overall has a very diverse student body and I get a taste of different culture through on-campus interaction. Its weakness is that the program is not very organized and the professors are not as good as the ones at my home school.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

N/A

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The program itself doesn't have a lot to offer in terms of organizing field trips or events. But the school had a diverse student body and there were a lot of school events going on.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Rouen is a pretty safe city.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
