What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
This experience was extremely worthwhile and I will do it again because this opportunity to live among different types of people opened my eyes to new frames of culture, philosophy, religion, art, music, politics, and language.

There was a huge language barrier but the difference made the trip much more interesting and challenging.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Items and food are so cheap! A full course meal was around four or five American U.S. dollars.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I only had to buy food, so every week I spent about 30-40 dollars.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? $300 can take you a long way in Taiwan!
