What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained a lot of self confidence, people skills/interactions, and a new appreciation for different cultures. It was one of the most worthwhile things I have ever done.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

My teacher was awesome and helped clear up things I've been struggling with since I first started learning Spanish. She also challenged me to learn more, but did it in a way that also allowed me to enjoy my stay and not be stuck in my room studying.

The food! AMAZING! I can't even say how amazing it was because it was just mind-blowingly amazing.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I would have liked to interact with the locals more.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

The day I developed a cough my director took me to see a doctor and I got medicine that day. My host mom went out of her way to make me feel better.

* Safety:

There was never a time that I didn't feel safe. I didn't feel like I needed to worry about anything.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Sol education was amazing. I definitely got my bang for my buck, they went out of their way to treat us well, and they offered so many experiences that I feel like I wouldn't have found anywhere else.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Try to barter with the sellers. Don't spend your money on the first things you see because you might find them somewhere else for cheaper or a better deal.
