About

The Center for European Studies (CES) at Maastricht University prides itself on providing the best European study abroad experiences inside & outside the classroom. For more than 30 year CES has been organising comprehensive, English language study abroad programs for international students.

Our January Programmes are:

  • International Environmental Law:  Maastricht is the birthplace of the European Union, where environmental protection was recognised as an EU objective. Located between two centres of international law and politics, The Hague and the 'European capital' of Brussels, Maastricht is the perfect setting for this programme.

  • International Relations & Politics in the EU: Maastricht is the ‘birthplace’ of the European Union and a symbol of pan-European identity. Maastricht University is an internationally renowned university focused on internationalism and themes of European integration. With dozens of academic programmes in English, students cannot pick a more beautiful city in which to get to know the EU.

  • Positive Psychology: The Positive Psychology programme is a unique experience, exploring one of the most contemporary branches of psychology today. As many universities do not yet offer positive psychology courses, this is a rare opportunity to broaden your academic knowledge and stand out to potential employers. Maastricht University is home to an internationally renowned Psychology and Neuroscience faculty and is a growing centre for psychology research.
