I was gone for a year. I'm still processing what I learned. But I know, no matter what, it was worthwhile. Everyone should study abroad. I've never done anything so challenging and eye opening.

| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Eat in the cafeteria. It's not bad, has a lot of variety, is cheaper, and has veggies. |

The one weakness of TBC. The language classes were good, but I KNOW there are better language programs out there, ones that are more intensive. TBC's other classes were amazing, and the Chinese classes weren't bad but I think there just wasn't enough active engagement with language from students outside the classroom. |

| Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? | Engage with the community. Meet with your tutor often, and don't be afraid to be friends with them-- they'll take you out to meet their friends, and you'll get to hear more Chinese. |
