What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned how to take care of myself more, how to navigate and travel while alone, and I gained more confidence in these areas.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 0-2 weeks

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I enjoyed my classes overall. Had some issues to deal with but the problems were sorted, which I was thankful for.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The room was nice and there were no roommates, so that was nice too.

* Food:

Could have been better, but it was fine for cafeteria food AND I got gluten free pizza and other gluten free stuff, so that was good.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The people were all very nice to me and I made friends (which I normally don't) in the clubs I joined. I even did a play!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Never had to go to the doctor but I did get sick during break and the people who ran the dorms came by and helped me out.

* Safety:

My host city was safe and I never felt nervous walking alone at night once I knew my way around.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I very much enjoyed my time abroad and I am very glad I was able to see so many things and meet so many nice people.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I had saved up money while working before I went to England, so I was ok.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 20 pounds per week for food and sometimes more if I was traveling
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? I would recommend working and saving money before going to another country and keep track of how much is in your account (and don't splruge).

* Did your program have a foreign language component? No

Direct Enrollment/Exchange

* Did you study abroad through an exchange program or did you directly enroll in the foreign university? Direct Enrollment
