What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained international experience as it was my first time abroad, and it allowed me to experience a different culture, which made the trip irrevocably worthwhile.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Extremely rigorous, yet very worthwhile. The academics were a lot to handle, but at the end of the year, I am amazed at how much information I retained and the growth of my knowledge.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I thought LSE was extremely helpful, especially the dean of General Course. Everyone seemed willing to help or answer questions.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived in the intercollegiate housing because they were catered, however there were a plethora of issues that did not settle with me; i.e food quality, maintenance, sanitation...

* Food:

Food in London is amazing!!! Although, I was not a fan of just plain English food. I was a frequent taster of Indian and Chinese.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The culture was rich and deep, so spending a year allowed me to immerse myself in it, rather than just witness it.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I did not have any experience with healthcare, but LSE has its own medical center in which students can register with, so if there is a health problem, it can easily be taken care of.

* Safety:

I never had any issues with safety. I never felt unsafe, but London is a city, so I know they have a good deal of crime.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? No
