What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was a wonderful semester, and I have never felt so immediately comfortable anywhere.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

This program is run out of a US institution, and students have a lot of liberty to pursue independent studies. The class takes a lot of very interesting field trips as well.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The teachers at the Costa Rica Center were amazing! They were so warm, helpful and welcoming. It was a great environment for new students.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Best host families ever-they really make you feel like you are one of their own!

* Food:

Great food-gallo pinto/rice and beans, amazing fresh exotic fruits. It is also very vegetarian friendly.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Great! Beautiful beaches and jungles to visit on the weekends.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

The teachers would take you to the doctors/hospitals if you needed-very supportive.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes
